A crash in Polk County left a Georgia Department of Transportation employee injured. Reports said that Curtis Lewis, along with Michael Allan Hatch, were doing patch work on Ga 113 when a car rear-ended the DOT vehicle.

Lewis was listed in stable condition at an Atlanta Hospital on Wednesday.

Hatch was unharmed.

The accident was the second in Georgia  to occur in a GDOT work zone in less than a week.On Friday, a driver was killed when his car struck a Highway Emergency Response Operator truck assisting a stranded motorist in a work zone on Interstate 285 at Old National Road in south Fulton County.
