Keandre Marquis Jackson, 38 of Rome, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the stabbing of a man on West 13th Street. Reports said that Jackson went into the home, where the mother of his children lived, around 3 am when he demanded to see his kids.

Reports indicated that after the children’s uncle told Jackson that the kids were sleeping Jackson became angry and started an altercation that resulted in the stabbing.

Jackson pleaded not guilty; however, a jury convicted him on aggravated assault, aggravated battery and third-degree cruelty to children charges.
