Floyd County police arrested 25 year-old Larry Vann-Thomas Wright this week on drug charges after pulling him over for loud music. Reports said that the officer heard the music coming from Wright’s car at least 100 yards away close to 1:30 Thursday morning in Garden Lakes.  After following the car to a residence on Plymouth Road the officer conducted the traffic stop.

While speaking with Wright the officer said that he detected a marijuana smell coming from the vehicle.

The officer then reported that he spotted a baggy with a small amount of green leafy substance in the driver’s seat.

A search of the vehicle was then performed and as a result a glass pipe with drug residue was discovered.

Wright told police that two passengers in the vehicle did not know about the drugs and that he had an addiction.

Wright was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor loud music violation.
