The Redmond Hospital doctor, Marcus Mosley, who was found dead in a swimming pool after his house caught a fire last week had been arrested just days prior according to reports. According to police Mosley was charged with battery on March 31 after he allegedly came home and found a woman with his wife.

Sources said that Mosley thought that his wife and the female were having an affair and as a result allegedly attacked the woman.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of death and the fire.  They did say that unexplained flammable materials were found at the home.

Coosa Valley News is the first to report that the doctor found dead at the bottom of his pool over the weekend, Marcus Moseley, 48, was an ER doctor for Redmond Hospital in Rome. Reports said that investigators from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were called to  Moseley’s  home on Oriole Drive in southwest Atlanta around 6:30 after a fire in the home was reported.

Investigators said that they are still seeking answers to how the doctor ended up dead at the bottom of the swimming pool.

Witnesses say when the house was engulfed in flames, they saw Moseley running “top speed” from the home while naked.
