Floyd County Police arrested 56 year-old homeless man Preston Wayne Dougherty over the weekend after they allegedly spotted him trying to break into a car. Reports said that they saw him attempt to get into a car on Chulio Road Saturday evening.
Reports added that during his arrested, Dougherty resisted officers, and in the process hit them.
Dougherty is charged with two felony counts of obstruction of a law officer and misdemeanor battery.
