Quentin Bernard Spivey, 33 of Rome, was arrested this week for robberies that occurred last year. Reports said that that Spivey stole over $3,500 worth of medication, as well as over $3,700 worth of cash from the First Care Pharmacy on Turner McCall Boulevard in June. He then went back in September of last year and again stole numerous drugs as well as $9,680 in cash.
Reports went on to say that during the first theft he physically pushed an employee before placing several of them in a back room before fleeing the scene.
During the second robbery reports said that Spivey allegedly broke one of the employee’s cell phones. He also allegedly pepper sprayed a victim in the face causing them to suffer eye irritation.
Reports said that when officers attempted to arrest Spivey he allegedly started to flee. After being arrested officers located an unspecified amount of methamphetamine and marijuana. Officers also found packaged drugs beside two electronic scales.
Spivey is charged with two counts of strong arm robbery, simple assault, escape, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug related objects, possession of meth with intent to distribute, tampering with evidence and driving on a suspended license,
