The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office received a report concerning allegations of child molestation involving a small child in the Ranger community. Sheriff’s detectives initiated an investigation that same day which resulted in the arrest of Joshua Jerry Broome, age 34, of , Ranger.
The molestation is believed to have occurred between 2014 and 2015.
Broome was arrested without incident at the Sheriff’s Office and charged 4 counts of ‘Aggravated Child Molestation’ and 5 counts of ‘Child Molestation’. On January 30th, a Gordon County Magistrate denied bond for Broome, who remains in the county jail.
