David Lee Holt,41 of Rome, was arrested Tuesday after being accused of choking a woman in front of children. Reports said that Holt cut off the airway of the victim. Police added that while attempting to handcuff Holt he tried to escape custody.
He is charged with aggravated assault, obstruction of law enforcement and third degree cruelty to children.
