Curtis Kuhn, 34 of Cedartonwn, has been found guilty on four counts, including: murder, felony aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act and first degree cruelty to children for the shooting death of his 59 year-old stepfather Robert May. Reports said that Kuhn and May were living in the same home and were engaged in an altercation when the shooting occurred. Investigators said that May was shot four times in the back in September 2013.
Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 28 in the case. He is facing life with or without parole.
May was a retired Sergeant with the Cobb County Police Department.
Kuhn was arrested in York County, PA and then extradited back to Georgia.
