Christa Lynn Page, 39 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she attacked and punched her 14 year-old daughter in the chest.
Police said that the child suffered visible injuries from the attack.
The incident occurred at their home on Wilkerson Road.
Page is charged with battery and cruelty to children in 1st degree.
