Aja McCrary, 38 of Rockmart, and Zanderouss Tywan Pledger, 34 of Rockmart, were arrested this week after reports said they were found trafficking drugs while in possession of a firearm.
Reports said that the couple was arrested follwing an traffic stop in the area of Highway 278 West bound near Grady Road. officers said that they observed the car that the couple was in fail to maintain their lane.
McCrary is charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, drug trafficking, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Pledger is charged with possession of a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, drug trafficking, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
