Mrs. Mable Lois Blalock, age 94, of Rome, Georgia, regrettably passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025, at a local medical facility.
Mrs. Blalock was born on October 9, 1930, in Bartow County, Georgia, to the late Sidney P. Smith and Bertie Mae Kay Smith. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, J.M. Blalock; her son, Neal Alford; her son-in-law, Jack Miller, her brothers, Tip Smith and Ray Smith; and her sisters, Gladys Stephens and Nadine Dutton.
Survivors include her two daughters, Dawn Crook (Steve) and Angie Miller; her sister, Evelyn Fritz; her brother, R.E. Smith; her grandchildren, Chris Crook (Sherri), Yancy Crook (Kassie), Jenny Goldsmith (Chris), and Misty Moore (John); her great grandchildren, Avery Goldsmith, Will Goldsmith, Claire Moore, Ella Moore, Chandler Crook, Chelsea Crook, Oliver Crook, and Violet Crook; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel with John Moore delivering the eulogy.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until service time. Following the services, Mrs. Blalock will be cremated according to her wishes and an inurnment will take place on a later date.
