Mrs. Gwendolyn Janette Hall Tate, age 84, of Calhoun, GA, formerly of the Coosa Community

Mrs. Gwendolyn Janette Hall Tate, age 84, of Calhoun, GA, formerly of the Coosa Community, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at a healthcare facility.

       Mrs. Tate was born in Chattooga County, GA, on October 26, 1940, daughter of the late John D. Hall and the late Evie Ruth Holbert Hyde. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond E. Tate, and her stepfather, Quinn Hyde. Gwen was a homemaker and a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.

       Those left to cherish her memory are her friends that became family, Sonny Bearden, Sherri Stowers, and David McLemore (Doris).

       Funeral Servies will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 2:00pm, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Dudley officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

       Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 1:00pm until the hour of service at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel.
