Mr. Gary Eugene Turner, age 71, of Calhoun, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
Gary was born in Rome, Georgia, on March 26, 1954, son of Joyce Geraldine Turner and the late Marvin Eugene Turner. Gary graduated from Coosa High School, class of 1972, and attended Shorter College. He retired from the U.S.D.A after 40 years of service. Gary loved going to the beach and was an avid Alabama Football fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend; he will be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife, Yvonne K. Turner; his mother, Joyce Turner; sons, Brian Holloman (Lisa) and Trevor Holloman (Casey); grandchildren, Turner Holloman (Katelynn), Heather Jackson (Daniel), and Tamra Dupree; 4 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Saturday, May 24, 2025, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
Flowers will be accepted by the family.
