Charles Eugene “Charley” Armstrong, age 65, of Taylorsville, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at his residence.
Charley was born in Rome, Georgia on February 2, 1960, son of Jewel Mills Armstrong and the late Charles Amos Armstrong. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenny Armstrong and Hubert Armstrong. Charley was a master carpenter and was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church. He enjoyed NASCAR, grilling, and rescuing cats.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Tina Tarpley Armstrong; five sons, Charles Bailey Armstrong, William Cody Armstrong, Ben Armstrong, Chad Armstrong, and Justin Wilhite; his mother, Jewel Armstrong; a brother, Wayne Armstrong; two sisters, Kathy Pope and Brenda Jones; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 3pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. Anthony Osborne officiating and Eric Strickland, J.B. Hudson, and Bailey Armstrong delivering eulogies.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday from 1 until 2:45pm.
