Mrs. Faye Ann Looney Garmon, age 84, of Cave Spring, GA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at her residence.

       Mrs. Garmon was born on April 8, 1940, in Rome, GA, daughter of the late Arnold Alexander Looney and the late Mozella Irene Johnston Looney. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Burton.

       Faye attended Cave Spring School; she was a graduate of Coosa High School. She was a bookkeeper for A & P grocery stores for many years, and she was the owner and operator of the Forrest Sandwich Shop in downtown Rome. Faye was a faithful member of South Broad United Methodist Church for many years but had been attending Cave Spring Baptist Church in recent years. Faye was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she will be missed by all.

       Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Roy Gerald Garmon; her brother, Jerry Looney; her children, Mark Mitchell (Lynn), Nick Mitchell (Susan), Melanie Thornbury (Mark), and Tracey Garmon; her grandchildren, Courtney Callaway, Thad Thornbury (Melanie), Dana Thornbury, Kelly Thornbury (Ryan), Luke Mitchell, Jacob Mitchell (Megan), Annelise Evans (Garrett), Jordan Mitchell, and Julianna Mitchell; her favorite nieces, Gola Burton, Kiela Beam, Ginger Whiteis, and Faye Weeks; her 10 great grandchildren; numerous other family members.

       Funeral Services will be held at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 2:00pm, with Pastor Jerod Kinsey officiating, interment will follow in East View Cemetery.

       The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Wednesday from 1:00pm until the hour of service.
