Mrs. Deborah Joan Terry Davenport, age 62, of Silver Creek

Mrs. Deborah Joan Terry Davenport, age 62, of Silver Creek, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at a local hospital.

Mrs. Davenport was born in Rome, Georgia on October 22, 1962, daughter of the late Earl Everett Terry and the late Doris Joan Sills Terry. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jordan Devante Gibbons, a sister, Susan Denise Terry, and by a sister-in-law, Beverly Womack. Mrs. Davenport was a graduate of Coosa High School where she was in the marching band. She was a member of Garden Lakes Baptist Church. Mrs. Davenport worked for many years in retail sales, including several years at Walmart. She enjoyed going on cruises and laughing.

Survivors include her husband, Harrison Gilbert Davenport, Sr.; three children, Amanda Marie Hickman (Jimmy Nation), Sarah Leigh Ann Davenport (Justin Raines), and Harrison Gilbert Davenport, Jr. (Anna); five grandchildren, Kaylee Hickman, Trevor Brian Hickman, Jayce Nile Varner, Elise Elaine Varner, and Harrison Gilbert Davenport, III; a brother, Matthew Everett Terry; in-laws, Danny Davenport, Elaine Lamay, Larry Davenport, Janice Garrett, Gerald Davenport, and Rachel Callies; several nieces and nephews including Halley Nicole Sullins and Hayden Andrew Terry.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 3pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Rev. David Yarbrough officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday from 6 until 8pm.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Friday at 2:30pm and include Active: Jennifer Herndon, Hayden Terry, Timothy Yarbrough, Zach Davenport, Conner Nation, Trevor Hickman, and Steven Garrett. Honorary: Halley Sullins and Tyler Davenport.
