Mr. Richard Lee Ash, age 74, of Rome, GA, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at a hospice facility in Lafayette, GA.
Mr. Ash was born in Rome, GA, on August 9, 1950, son of the late Cecil Floyd Ash and the late Rachel Naomi Cook Ash. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia Darlene Overby Ash, by his son, Ricky Lee Ash, and by a brother, Robert Ash. Mr. Ash was a veteran of the United States Army. Before retirement, he worked in the maintenance department at Syntec Industries. Mr. Ash loved shooting pool, playing on his iPad and watching tv. He was always looking for a good deal and was known to frequent yard sales, estate sales and auctions. Mr. Ash enjoyed when he could take vacations and liked camping. He was also an avid poker player and enjoyed trips to the casino and scratch offs. Mr. Ash was of the Baptist faith and is now rejoicing in the presence of Jesus Christ for eternity.
Survivors include his wife, Brandie Cornwell Ash, to whom he was married in 2022; a daughter, Tina Ash; his brother, Steve Ash (Vivian); numerous nieces and nephews.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Ash will be interred in Rome Memorial Park and no formal services will be held.
