At the April 1 City Council meeting, officials announced the city of Euharlee will be celebrating “Georgia Cities Week” April 21-25. The city will hold a variety of events throughout the week, including Coffee with the Council, Pickleball 101, and other programs for citizens to enjoy. The theme of this year’s Georgia Cities Week is “Imagine the Possible.”

“We’re very proud of our city and the services we provide that make it attractive to residents and visitors,” said Mayor Craig B. Guyton “Cities provide the services and infrastructure to help businesses grow and set the stage for events where families and individuals can gather as a community.”

Festivities planned for the week are:

  • Tuesday, April 22: Coffee with the Council and Town Hall at 6pm – Open House of City Hall & the Jolly Building
  • Thursday, April 24: Pickleball 101 at Joe Cowan Park at 6pm
  • Saturday, April 26: Community Cleanup at 9am
  • Ongoing activities:
    • Social Media Campaign celebrating various aspects of our city government and staff.
    • Scavenger Hunt with the Stqry App of our historic downtown
    • Photographic exhibit on the covered bridge showing Euharlee aerial images from then and now.

Cities across Georgia will be celebrating Georgia Cities Week, sponsored by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA), to showcase and celebrate cities and the many services they provide. Based in Atlanta, GMA is a voluntary, non-profit organization that provides legislative advocacy, educational, employee benefit and consulting services to its 537 member cities.
