William DeWayn Vessel, 41 of Rome, and Destiny Renee Ross 34 of Rome, were arrested at the West Rome Walmart after they were captured trying to steal items from the store.
Reports said that that they attempted to conceal the merchandise under a bag and then leave the store without paying.
UPDATE: Ross originally gave the name fo her sister, Makala Irene Davidson, 28 of Cedartown, as her own. New charges are pending. Check back as more information becomes available.
The total value of the property was $59.1..
Both are charged with theft by shoplifting..
Vessell is also charged with two counts failure to appear.
