Bentley Dean Beard, age 11, of Silver Creek, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Bentley was born in Rome, Georgia on August 1, 2013, son of Summer Rayne Beard Gibbs and Dalton Gibbs. He was a 6th grade honors student at Pepperell Middle School and attended Lindale First Baptist Church. Bentley was all boy. He enjoyed video games, riding his bike, wrestling, geology, water (swimming, the lake, the beach), and all things outdoors. Bentley was a jokester, but his favorite thing of all was his family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Greg Beard, by an uncle, Jacob Gibbs, by great grandparents, Lucille Pledger, Timothy Snyder, and Bill Beard, and by great-great grandfather, James Gibbs.
Survivors include his parents, Dalton & Summer Gibbs; two brothers, William Mason Gibbs and Andrew Jameson Gibbs; grandparents, Stacey Pledger, Phil Huckaby, Lane Beard, and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jonathan Gibbs & Tiffany Gibbs; great grandparents, Madge & Ron Winslett, John & Sandra Cooper, and Justin & Kathryn Gibbs; aunts & uncles, Jason & Angela Beard, Kandice & Drew Ware, Will & Jaiden Beard, Lexi & Austin Lents, and Tyler Gibbs; many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 3pm at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church with Pastor Eric Whelchel and Mrs. Courtney Hampton officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church on Saturday from 12pm until 2:30pm.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday at 2:30pm and include, Active: Dalton Gibbs, Will Beard, Jonathan Gibbs, Tyler Gibbs, Phil Huckaby, Rock Pace. Honorary: Waylon Winters, Kaiden Burke, Leo Bucio, and Zeke Cheatwood.
