Blood Assurance is facing a critical shortage of O-negative blood, with less than a half-day’s supply remaining. Spring Break has caused a drop in donor turnout, and with even more areas going on break next week, the need is growing more urgent by the day. As you probably know, Blood Assurance is the primary supplier for Atrium Health Floyd and AdventHealth Redmond in Rome. We are also the primary supplier for Cartersville Medical Center.
To make matters worse, severe weather could impact some of the areas we serve in the coming days. We must act now to shore up supplies before storms disrupt collections—or worse, increase the demand for blood. The donations made today will be the ones saving lives tomorrow.
As a thank-you, donors who give by March 17 will receive a limited-edition “Shenanigans and Saving Lives” t-shirt (while supplies last- pic attached). O-negative blood donors and AB plasma donors will also receive a $25 e-gift card. Donors who give from March 18th-31st will be entered to win a $500 e-gift card. One donor will win!
