Mrs. Eunice Elizabeth Edwards, age 94, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at a local medical facility.
Eunice was born on May 31, 1930, in Bowden, Georgia, to the late Benjamine F. Carver and Eual Mae Carver (formerly Moore). She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Jessie Wendell Edwards; her siblings, Alice Bradfield, Gladys Ott, Opal Edwards, and Dewey Edwards; and her great-grandson, David Timothy Faulkner.
Survivors include her two daughters, Brenda Nelson (Larry) and Sandra Freeman (Larry); her grandchildren, Christina “Kristi” Freeman, Jason Nelson (Lisa), and Michelle Reynolds (Jeff); her brother, Duel Carver (Anita); her great-grandchildren, Jack Faulkner, Luke Faulkner (Kris), Baleigh Reed (John), Carter Nelson, Blake Reynolds, and Layne Reynolds, her great-great grandson, Jude Faulkner; as well as several other beloved extended family members.
Eunice was a simple woman who enjoyed the quiet beauty of life. She loved to garden and adored flowers. She was employed as a seamstress for many years but in her free time she found joy in line dancing, playing Bingo with her friends, and going on camping adventures. She is very loved and will be sorely missed.
A graveside service will be held Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery located at 1810 Euharlee Rd, Kingston, GA 30145, at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Serving as pallbearers will be Blake Reynolds, Layne Reynolds, Carter Nelson, Jeff Reynolds, Jack Faulkner, and Luke Faulkner. Serving as an honorary pallbearer will be Jason Nelson.
