Mrs. Wilma “Jeanne” Gilreath, age 89, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving children.

     Jeanne was born in Mobile, Alabama on September 13, 1935, to the late Robert Couey and Carrie Mae Couey (formerly Holderfield). She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Joby Gilreath and her brothers, Michael Couey and Lawayne Couey.

     Jeanne was employed at Greater Rome Bank as a loan officer for many years and was a member of Pleasant Valley North Church.

     Survivors include her two sons, Steve Coffman and Mark Coffman; her grandchildren, Jake Coffman (Amber), Chance Coffman, Hope Harr (Andy), Kollie Beard, Clay Coffman (Courtney), and Katie Bailey (Jeff); her great-grandchildren, Jake Bailey, Dillon Bailey, Lilah Coffman, Liam Coffman, Valerie Coffman, Adaline Coffman, Kyndall Crews, Brody Coffman, Mason Harr, and Skylar Coffman; and her great-great-grandson, Colt Hayes Bailey.

     Funeral services will be held at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Saturday, February 15, at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Mac McCurry officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Battles, David Fowler, Dax Bailey, Clay Coffman, Brad Couey, and Bob Couey. Interment will take place at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Rome, Georgia following the service.

     The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
