Mrs. Mary Evelyn Siniard, age 65, of Kingston, Georgia, sadly passed away after battling a long-term illness on Saturday, February 1, 2025.
Mary was born in Rome, Georgia on May 20, 1959, to the late Joseph William Jones and Anna Frances Jones (formerly Perry). She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Jeffrey Siniard.
Survivors include her loving sisters, Pam Willis and Angela Mathis; her niece, Amy Miller (John); her nephew, Kris Mathis (Tiffani); her great-nieces, Ashley Blalock, Addison Blalock, and Sayler Mathis; her great-great nephew, Sutton Jenkins; as well as several beloved cousins and extended family members.
Mary had a great love for nature, especially butterflies. She was passionate about nature photography and met many lifelong friends throughout her time as a nature photographer. She enjoyed many things including hiking, camping, crafting, and traveling. She loved to travel anywhere, no matter the destination. Whether it was just going to town or taking an impromptu road trip to California, she didn’t care, as long as she was going. Mary was also a big geode enthusiast. While on her journeys hiking or camping, she loved hunting for rocks to add to her collection. She also loved her family immensely and especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews. She cussed like a sailor, had a great sense of humor, and a heart of gold. She was very loved by her friends and family and while she will be sorely missed, she will never be forgotten.
Funeral services will be held at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Thursday, February 6, at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Mike Garrett officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be John Miller and Kris Mathis. Interment will follow at East View Cemetery in Rome, Georgia.
