Waymon Ladale Brumbelow, age 83, of Flint Hill, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his residence.

       Waymon was born on April 13, 1941, son of the late Joseph Chaney Brumbelow and the late Grace Cornwell Brumbelow. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, ReNonda Baker Brumbelow, a precious granddaughter, a son-in-law, three brothers and one sister.

       He is survived by his daughter, DeAnna G. Menard (Eddie) of Flint Hill; sons, Brett Brumbelow (Lisa) of Rome, Craig Brumbelow (Charlene) of LaFayette, and Clint Brumbelow of Centre, Alabama. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and his goddaughter, Judy Kochanski (David) of Flint Hill. His surviving siblings include his brother, Houston Brumbelow (Mildred) of Flint Hill, and his sister, Martha Vaughn (Ronnie) of Rome.

       Waymon was a devoted member of Flint Hill Baptist Church where he assisted his wife in leading the Acteens softball team. He had a passion for gardening and working outdoors, and his greatest joy was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He retired from General Motors and Georgia Highlands and was a cherished member of his community.

       Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 3:00pm, at Flint Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Dr. Chris Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

       The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Flint Hill Baptist Church.

       Pallbearers are asked to assemble at Flint Hill Baptist Church on Saturday by 2:30pm and include: Danny Brumbelow, Collin Vaughn, Devin Hollingsworth, Rena Brumbelow, Russell Boatner, and Johnny Hames; Honorary Pallbearers: Ed Brumbelow, Alfred Brumbelow, Donald Brumbelow, and Jerry Boatner.

Waymon will be remembered for his love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family and faith.
