Ms. Lesia A. Timms, age 55, of Plainville, passed away January 3, 2025, at Advent Gordon Hospital with her loved ones at her side.
Lesia was born in Rome, GA, October 6, 1969, daughter of Martha Green Timms and the late John Daniel Timms. Lesia was a beloved member of the Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. She had a big heart and was always happy, bringing joy to everyone around her. Lesia loved her family dearly and cherished the time spent watching her nieces and nephews. She also loved animals, especially her two dogs, Marshal and Little. To know her was to love her, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Survivors include her loving mother, Martha Green Timms; dearest sister, Gayla Gilmore; nephew, Joe Taylor (Nancy); niece, Mandy Taylor Byars(Allen); great- nieces and great-nephews, Monica Wright(Dylan), Jacob Taylor(Caitlin), Justin Taylor (Mary), Maddie Taylor (Zhaine) and Lane Byars; 6 great great-nieces and 3 great great-nephews; special cousins, Brenda Evans and Glenda Schellack; and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 1:00PM from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Adrian Craig officiating. Interment will follow Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, Rome. Pallbearers will be Joe Taylor, Jacob, Taylor Justin Taylor, Dylan Wright, Allen Byars and Lane Byars. Honorary pallbearers will be Dallas Wright, Aiden Taylor, and Holden Taylor.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville.
The family will accept flowers or donations can be made in honor of Lesia to the Gordon County 4-H.
