Mrs. Charlene Joyce Boatner, age 74, of Aragon, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at her residence.
Mrs. Boatner was born in Floyd County, Georgia on July 24, 1950, daughter of the late Rev. Hilton Bradford and the late Gladys Jones Bradford. She was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Diane Beatrice “Dee” Bradford. Mrs. Boatner loved our Savior Jesus Christ. She loved to spend time with her family, singing, sewing, and going on cruises. Mrs. Boatner was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include her loving husband, Jerry Boatner; sons, Jeff Boatner (Rhonda), Randy Boatner (Robin), Russell Boatner (Jennifer), and Toney Boatner (Samantha); a sister, Vickie “Aunt B” Deems (Harold); brothers, Synard Bradford (Teresa), Ricky Bradford, and Michael Bradford (Dianne); several precious grandkids, great gradkids, nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Mrs. Boatner’s wishes, there will be a private interment. and the family will have a memorial service at the Boatner’s residence on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 2pm with Rev. Randy Boatner and Billy Joe Bradford officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jerred Boatner, Hunter Boatner, Rusty Boatner, Cameron Ely, Brad Truitt, Eric Justice, Jacob Earwood, ad Austin Bishop. Dustin Awtrey will be an honorary pallbearer.
