Mrs. Carol Jean Goodson Everett, age 79, of Armuchee, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.
Carol was born in Woodstock, Georgia, on September 7, 1945, daughter of the late James Goodson and the late Mary Elizabeth Howard. While in high school she met her soulmate Kelley Hiram Everett, and they were married on November 24, 1962. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2017. She was an active and faithful member of Everett Springs Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, G.A. leader, choir member, and member of the training union. Carol worked several years at Best Manufacturing before retiring to help with the family farm and being a homemaker. She was a wonderful cook with many recipes that will be passed down for generations. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend and she will be missed by all.
Survivors include her son, Greg Everett (Janet); daughter, Cindy Shaw (Kenny); 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Faye Pacheco; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Everett Springs Baptist Church, Armuchee, GA., with Dr. Steve Drake officiating. Interment will follow at Everett Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 12:45pm at Everett Springs Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the church on Tuesday at 12:00pm and include; Jordan Everett, Andrew Tate, Tyler Crosby, Scott Everett, Jason Miller, and Jeff Rickman.
