Mr. William Jeffery “Jeff” Gerrin, age 59, of Aragon, GA, entered into his eternal home on Tuesday, January 28, 2024, at a hospital in Polk County, GA.
Mr. Gerrin was born in Floyd County, GA, on September 7, 1965, son of the late William “Bill” Gerrin and the late Bessie Loraine “Betty” Barton Gerrin. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Vanessa Roberts Gerrin, and by his brother-in-law, Scott Jenkins. Mr. Gerrin worked for over 15 years with Floyd Medical Center, starting in security and then in shipping and receiving before his health forced his retirement. He was an extremely talented artist, from playing the drums to drawing, his skill and talent could not be replicated. Mr. Gerrin also enjoyed playing video games with his kids and grandkids, especially any game that involved shooting people. He was an avid bigfoot hunter with his brother, Tommy, and sought the evasive creature his whole life. Mr. Gerrin also had a knack for making people laugh and his quick wit always kept you on your toes. Above all, he loved his family and Jesus most and is now rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior for eternity.
Survivors include 4 children, Ashley Gerrin (Lane), Billy Gerrin (Marlana), Mark DeWayne Carter, II (Elizabeth), and Michael Darren Carter (Bridget); 11 grandchildren, Lilah, Jayce, Maddie, Bella, Issa, Austin, Penelope, Shepherd, Amelya, Cora, and Ezra; his brother, Tommy Gerrin (Elaine); sister, Dawn Jenkins; sister-in-law, Davinna Reeves (Jason); special niece, MacKenzie Reeves; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Buddy Carter will officiate and Mr. Gerrin’s son, Billy, and brother, Tommy, will deliver the eulogies.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2pm until service time at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers include; Billy Gerrin, DeWayne Carter, Darren Carter, Michael Diggs, Jeremy Moore, Mark Smith, Cody Thompson and Caleb Brock.
