Mr. Billy Joe Chambers, Sr., age 63, of Rome, GA, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Chambers was born in Jamestown, TN, on August 28, 1961, son of the late Donald Thomas Chambers and the late Aggie rose Hamby Cutshaw. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Tuff Chambers, and by 2 siblings, Donnie Chambers and Debra Ann Cook. Mr. Chambers was a graduate of Rossville High School, in Rossville, GA. He owned and operated S & S Industrial where he specialized in sandblasting and painting industrial equipment and water towers. Mr. Chambers was an avid hunter and fisherman, competing in numerous tournaments, and enjoyed being out in God’s creation. He was an amazing Dad and an even better granddad, doing any and everything his grandkids wanted him to. Mr. Chambers was of the Christian faith and is now rejoicing in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity.
Survivors include his 3 children, Billy Joe Chambers, II, Cody Chambers, and Bobbi Voiles (Tyson), all of Rome; 2 grandchildren, Cali Nicole Chambers and Branson Cole Chambers; 2 brothers, Mark Chambers and Danny Chambers; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Chambers will be cremated and a Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
