Mr. Robert Franklin “Bob Bob” Tillery, age 89, of Canton, GA, passed away on December 22, 2024, at a medical facility in Cherokee County, GA.

       Mr. Tillery was born in Floyd County, GA, on February 14, 1935, son of the late Hamilton Hester Tillery, Sr., and the late Ruby Jewel Sartin Tillery. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Rachel Ford Tillery, a granddaughter, Layla Marie Tillery, daughter-in-law, Robin Tillery, and by 5 siblings, Helen VanHorn, Susan Ann Allen, Shirley Louise Tillery, Hamilton Hester Tillery, Jr., and Cecil Lamar Tillery. Mr. Tillery was a 1953 graduate of Pepperell High School. He worked in the textile industry for the majority of his working career, eventually retiring from the Celanese Mill after 25 years of service as a supervisor. Mr. Tillery was an extremely talented photographer and fancied himself behind the camera instead of in front of it. He loved his GA Bulldogs, Braves baseball, gardening and having an immaculate collection of Iris’. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Rock Hill in Rock Hill, SC.

       Survivors include 2 sons, Bobby Randall “Randy” Tillery and Barry Scott Tillery (Aaron Simmons); 4 grandchildren, Jordan Tillery Morris (Chris), Michael Puckett (Erin), Charlotte Bryan Nick), and Jennifer Morris Manis (Verne); 14 great-grandchildren; his companion, Tommie McAteer; numerous nieces and nephews.

       A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

       The family will hold a gathering of family and friends from 1pm until 2pm on Saturday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
