Mr. Larry Anthony “Tony” Bryan, age 79, of Lincoln, Alabama, formerly of Rome, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, at his residence.
Mr. Bryan was born in Rome, Georgia on January 2, 1945, son of the late Barney Bryan and the late Ollie Noojin Bryan. He was also preceded in death by six siblings, Edward Bryan, Grace Jenkins, Helen Smith, Sybil Smith, Betty Flemister, and Marline Hughes. Mr. Bryan was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War and retiring in 1996 at the rank of Master Gunnery Sergeant. After retiring from the Marines, he worked as a carpenter for Horn Builders. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Pell City, Carpenters for Christ, and SOWER.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Horn Bryan; four children, Travis Bryan (Julie), Bruce Bryan (Luci), Stefanie Borgers, and Sherri Bryan (Tim Dewar); eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 1pm at Floyd Memory Gardens with the Rev. Jerry Green officiating. The U. S. Marine Corps will present military honors.
