Mr. David Fletcher Fowler, age 81, of Rome, GA, sadly passed away at his home on December 8, 2024.

David was born in Rome, GA, on September 2, 1943, to the late Charlie Lundy Fowler and Cleo Ethel Fowler (Formerly Self). He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Fowler Jr., Eleanor Owens, Virginia Smallwood, and Carol McCain.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Diane Fowler (Formerly Sharp); his two sons whom David loved very much, Stephen Fowler (Joanna) and Matt Fowler (Samantha); his sister, Shirley Gainey; his grandchildren, Quintin Bunch, Dylan Fowler, Weslynn Fowler, Easton Fowler, and Mattie Fowler; his great-grandchildren, Grayson Bunch and Stetson Bunch; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

David was a very selfless man and always put others before himself. He enjoyed traveling, was a fan of the Atlanta Braves, loved the beach, playing golf, old western films (especially John Wayne movies), and most of all, his family. He loved his grandchildren and his two boys unconditionally. Every weekend in the summertime David would hang out with Stephen and Matt by the pool. He loved watching the GA Bulldogs with them and was a proud member of the “Garage Squad.” He will forever be loved and sorely missed.

David’s family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel. Following the visitation there will be a graveside service at Eastview Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Myles Phillips officiating.
