Kevin Anthony Parks, 33 of Riverdale, was arrested in Rome when reports said he was found with marijuana and a stolen gun after being pulled over for not wearing a seat belt.
Police said that while attempting to pull Parks over he tossed the bag of marijuana outside his vehicle.
While stopped, Parks allegedly gave officers another name as his own.
It was then discovered that Parks is a convicted felon.
Parks is charged with felony theft by taking, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, seat belt violation and giving false information to police.
