Isaiah Alphonzo Driver, 57 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he beat his 41 year-old wife in front of their two children.
Reports said that Driver placed his hands around the victim’s neck and then shoved her to the ground.
The victim also told police that Driver repeatedly threatened to harm her after he gets out of jail.
The incident occurred at a home on East 13th Street.
Driver is charged with battery, cruelty to children and two counts terroristic threats/acts.
