Mrs. Shelvia “Jean” Warren Earwood, age 77, of Silver Creek, GA, regrettably passed away on November 11, 2024, at a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Jean was born in Rome, GA, on November 21, 1946, to the late Paul D. Nelson and Jenny Nelson (Formerly Cantrell.) She is also preceded in death by her son, Hugh Dorsey “Bug” Warren Jr., and her sister, Martha “Paulette” Howell.
She is survived by her loving spouse and partner of 24 years, Greg L. Earwood; her daughter, Crystal Dawn Davis (formerly Warren) and her husband, Donald Davis; her grandchildren, Tambi Coleman (Jeremy), Jessica Thackston (Ryne), Dalton Warren (Jordan), Dakota Davis (Parris), and Olivia Jade Davis; her great-grandchildren, Donavon Coleman, Aubrey Coleman, Robert Coleman, Tobias Warren, and Atlas Warren; her great-great- grandson, Koa Sage; her former spouse and father of her children, Hugh Dorsey Warren Sr.; her brothers by law, Jerry Howell and Ricky Earwood; her beloved dog and companion, Scooter; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Jean loved The Lord and was a faithful member of Radio Springs Baptist Church until she succumbed to her recent illness. She worked at K-Mart for over 40 years helping customers, running registers, working in cosmetics, and serving her community. In her younger years, she and her former husband Hugh Dorsey Warren Sr. rode motorcycles together as members of the Gold Wing Riders Association. Jean loved to travel, and especially enjoyed the mountains. One of her favorite destinations was Disney World, where she and her husband Greg shared many happy memories. She loved her little dog Scooter and was always excited to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved very much.
A funeral service will be held for Jean at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Radio Springs Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Howell and Hugh Dorsey Warren Sr.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
Interment will follow the funeral at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are to assemble by 1:30 pm on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Radio Springs Baptist Church and include Donald Davis, Dalton Warren, Dakota Davis, Donavon Coleman, Robert Coleman, Aaron Luallen, and Seth Elrod. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Coleman and Ryne Thackston.
