Mrs. Mackie Faye Young Hufstetler, age 89, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the Spires at Berry College.
Mrs. Hufstetler was born in DeKalb County, AL, on February 28, 1935, daughter of the late William T. Young and the late Nellie Freeman Young. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. George Richard Hufstetler and her siblings, Jimmy Young, Sybil Bobbitt, and Donnie Young. Mackie Faye was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Customer Service Supervisor for Trend Mills, and then Mohawk, where she retired. Some of her best days were spent with her friend Ozella Graves at the Spires.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Hufstetler Caudell (Bob), and Debbie Hufstetler Holder (Randy); her grandchildren, Chris Caudell (Brittney), Tyler Caudell (Emily), Kelly Caudell, Meredith Warren (Jay), and Matt Holder (Whitney); her great grandchildren, Millar Caudell, Maddox Caudell, Briggs Caudell, Elliot Caudell, John Warren, Jeffery Warren, Heidi Holder, and Remi Holder; her siblings, Judy Graves, Larry Young, Patricia Little, and Jan Young; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at 2:30pm, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Gary Graves officiating, interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 1:00pm until 2:30pm at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel.
