Mr. James Clifford “Bud” Ware, age 92, Rome, GA, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2024.

       Mr. Ware was born in Lindale, GA on June 8, 1932, the son of the late James Richard Ware and the late Bonnie Mae Henderson Ware. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Joan Farr Ware, and by a brother, David Alfred “Dan” Ware. Bud graduated from Rome High School. Upon graduation, he entered the United States Navy where he served honorably for four years. He began his professional career in heating and air conditioning with Central Electric here in Rome. Later, he founded Ware Mechanical, Inc., which he owned and operated until his retirement. Bud was a member of First Baptist Church of Lindale where he served many years as a Deacon, sang in the church choirs, and held various leadership roles

       Survivors include his son, Dr. J. Michael Ware (Katherine); 3 grandchildren, Ashley Ware Anglin (Justin), Zachary Michael Ware (Corinne), and Megan Ware O’Hara (Adam); the mother of his grandchildren, Pam Petroski Ware; 3 step-grandchildren, Jessica Dempsey (Drew), Kaitlyn Dowdy, and Hunter Dowdy; 4 great grandchildren, Sullivan Anglin, Rosie Anglin, Reese Dempsey, and Ridge Ware; a brother, Macon Hugh Ware (Phyllis); nieces and nephews, Danette Ware Ozment, Lynn Ware Spratling (Tim), Steve Ware (Pam), Jim Ware (Amber), and Holly Farr; numerous cousins also survive.

       A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 1pm at First Baptist Church of Lindale with his Pastor, the Rev. Eric Whelchel, and his cousin, Barry Henderson, officiating. Private interment will follow later in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

       The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Lindale on Wednesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour.

       Pallbearers will include Adam O’Hara, Justin Anglin, Steve Ware, Jim Ware, Drew Dempsey, and Tim Spratling.
