Jerrick Javon Wrice, 23 of Ellenwood, was arrested in Rome after reports said he came to the city and sold a stolen skid steer to an 18 year-old male.
The equipment was stolen from Floyd County last week. Its value was $8,000.
While arresting Wrice, police said he was in possession of a firearm.
Wrice is charged with felony theft by deception, felony theft by receiving stolen property, possession of tools for the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm while committing a crime.
