Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC) has named Legare Price associate vice president of Student Success.

Price has worked at GNTC for more than five years, serving most recently as dean of Student Success since February 2022. In Price’s new role, he will provide greater oversight and direction for the Office of Student Success, including the areas of Accessibility Services, Admissions, Advisement, Call Center, Career Services, Enrollment Services, Student Help Centers, Recruitment, Retention, Special Populations, Student Engagement, Student Life, Testing and Veteran Services.

“Legare’s passion drives his leadership of our exceptional Student Success team,” said Stuart Phillips, vice president of Student Affairs and Student Success at GNTC. “In partnership with our outstanding faculty and staff, he has fostered a collaborative, team-based approach that ensures student needs are at the forefront of every decision made at GNTC. His focus on continuous improvement and cross-departmental collaboration strengthens students’ ability to succeed in their programs of study.”

Price’s past roles at GNTC also include director of Enrollment Services and Career Transition specialist.

Price’s experience in higher education also includes serving as the dean of Online Programs and Adult Education at Shorter University and an adjunct professor of Business and Management for nearly three years. His previous roles at Shorter include assistant director of Enrollment for Online Programs and Online Enrollment counselor.

I am excited to build upon the wonderful things they are doing.”

Price is also pastor of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Rome, where he has served the last five years. He previously was interim pastor of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church and Rehoboth Baptist Church, both in Cave Spring, and associate pastor of Connect City Church in Summerville.

Price is a graduate of Leadership Rome and the Technical College System of Georgia’s (TCSG) Senior Leadership Academy, a professional development program.

He earned master’s degrees in Business Administration and Management at Shorter University and a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology and Culture at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
