The Floyd County Schools Board of Education extended the contract for Superintendent Glenn White for three additional years this week.

The Board recently met to evaluate White and in the process awarded him the highest distinguished mark in all seven areas of work.

The evaluated areas covered goal achievement, professional development and work environment management.

White’s extension, his fourth,  expires in November 2027.

His tenue as superintendent began on October 1, 2020, after serving in the interim role for nearly two months.

He has also served as the system’s director of student services and as an administrator at Model High School.

White is also the former President of the GHSA.
