John Caleb Dixon, 31, of McIntyre, Georgia, has been booked into the Polk County Jail after being charged with a wreck that resulted in the death of 26 year-old Jacquline Adreanna Lynn Ledbetter, of Cedartown.

The wreck, which occurred last June 15, occurred when Dixon was driving westbound on Prior Station Road at a high rate of speed and crossed into oncoming traffic while negotiating a curve.   His Hyundai Accent then left the roadway and went down an embankment before striking a tree.

Ledbetter was air lifted to Kennestone Hospital where she has since passed away.

Dixon is charged with first-degree vehicular homicide , DUI, failure to maintain lane, too fast for conditions, open container violation, and suspended registration.
