William Jeffrey Brown, aged 59, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024, at his home in Kingston, GA.
William “Jeff” was born in Covington, GA on December 19, 1964, to the late Franklin “Bubba” and Jewell Hilliard Brown. He was married to his first love Brenda Lemming Brown in 1984 and remained married for 25 years until her passing. He had a successful career as an industrial mechanic. He was an incredibly talented guitarist, traveling with a band in his younger days. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed teaching his daughter, nieces, and nephews how to hunt and fish.
Jeff was a devoted father and “Pawpaw.” He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Jonathan) Griffin, and granddaughters, Braelyn and Lilly, along with his brother, Barry (Rita) Brown, sisters, Melanie (Chris) Meadows and Tammy (Michael) Lemming, and his dearest friend, Stephanie Bennett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda, and his parents, Bubba and Jewell.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 12pm at Floyd Memory Gardens. Pastor Chase Holsomback will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Monday from 5 until 8pm.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the cemetery on Tuesday at 11:45am and include Active: Dustin Meadows, Jared Meadows, Jimmy Whitlock, Jonathan Sanford, Chris Brown, Jeff Burnette, Ronnie Tucker, and Randy Bennett. Honorary: Aiden Whitlock, Brayden Whitlock, Copelin Sanford, and Cayson Sanford.
The family extends their gratitude to Affinity Hospice of Rome, and the members of the Shannon Oaks community who were there for him during his illness.
