Mrs. Carolyn Sue Moreland Schmult, age 78, of Rome

 Mrs. Carolyn Sue Moreland Schmult, age 78, of Rome, GA, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 6, 2024.

       Carolyn was born in Birmingham, AL, on December 31, 1946, daughter of the late Hugh Moreland, Jr. and the late Nell Finley Moreland. She was a member of North Rome Church of God.

       Survivors include her husband of 39 ½ years, Mr. Charles David “Chuck” Schmult; her daughter, Kristi Yancey (Christopher); her son, Carl F.W. Schmult; her grandchildren, Ashley Izaguirre (Michael), Brittany Crutchfield (Cade), Courtney Yancey, Delaney Yancey, and Ethan Yancey; her sister, Agnes Nell Davis; her great grandchildren, Samuel Izaguirre, and Callie Crutchfield; her nieces, Kim Davis Head and Karen Tessener; several cousins.

       Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at 11:00am, at Georgia National Cemetery, in Canton, GA, with Mrs. Glenda Marrs officiating.

       The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, from 5:00pm – 7:30pm at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
