Journey Community Food Pantry will be distributing food to those in need on Wednesday, 9/25/24, 10-12 and 1-5. Remember that JCFP currently serves households one time monthly and will continue to do that as long as food is available.
We currently have a bulk shipment of fresh eggs available for our clients as well as baby food, dog food (for small animals), wet not dry food and an abundance of fresh seasonal produce, breads and desserts. We also have many non-food items (cold med’s, vitamins, specialty coffees (Keurig) and other items available for distribution until they are gone.
We are in need of “banana boxes” for packing food for clients. If you have yours from last month or you have access to getting some for us, we would greatly appreciate it. Banana boxes are literally the ones that bananas are shipped in. They are extremely sturdy, have hand holes on each side for picking up and they have tops. You can bring them in when you come to get your food.

IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR RECEIVING FOOD AT JOURNEY
* JCFP serves clients in Floyd County, Chattooga County and Cherokee County Alabama.
* You MUST have a current Georgia or Alabama photo ID (License or State ID) and a piece of mail (with the same address) verifying your residency.
*The ONLY mail accepted will be a recent utility bill, a piece of government mail (IRS, GDOR, SSI, DFAC’s, Court, or a medical bill in client’s name or a copy of their current lease agreement. We can accept the proof of residency in paper form or online (pulled up on your phone). However, it must be current and dated. All mail presented must be dated within the previous 60 days.
* We cannot accept junk mail, advertisements, car insurance, prescription bottles, checkbooks, handwritten notes for those boarding in another client’s household, etc. No exceptions can be made.
Please remember that you are required to show your ID and proof of residency EVERY time you come to the pantry as a client.
We appreciate all of you who come prepared and have your ID and mail item ready. It allows the volunteers at JCFP to get you served as quickly as possible.
