James Timothy Moore “Tim”, age 75, of Cave Spring, GA, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024, at Floyd Medical Center after a hard battle with cancer.

     Born on July 17, 1949, in Rome, Georgia, Tim was the son of the late Benny Jack Moore and Gertrude Jackson Moore. He is also preceded in death by his infant son Charles Eden Moore, and his brother, Kenneth Moore.

     Tim is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carla T. Moore; his son, James T. Moore Jr. “Jamie” (Toni McCormick); his grandchildren, JT Moore, Kansas Moore (Trystan Meacham), Haley Moore (Dayton Johnson), Richard Devin Moore, and Brianna Townsend (Chris); his great-grandchildren, JJ, Aubree, Briss, and Christopher; his brother, Randall Moore (Jennifer); his sister-in-law, Melinda Moore; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

     Tim graduated in the class of 1969 from Armuchee High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and worked as a mechanic for Georgia Power until he retired after 25 years of employment. He had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and loved them very much. He enjoyed his horses, nature, and dogs, especially his pug and the love of his life, Kara.

     A funeral service will be held for Tim at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2024, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, with pastor Greg Montgomery officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

     Serving as pallbearers will be JT Moore, Richard Moore, Dayton Johnson, and Trystan Meacham.
