Sierra Wilks, Chief of Corrections with Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, has been elected to serve on the executive board of the Alabama Jail Administrators Council (AJAC). This prestigious appointment reflects Sierra’s dedication to advancing best practices in jail management and inmate care across the state of Alabama.

AJAC plays a critical role in supporting jail administrators throughout Alabama by providing resources, legal based training, and advocacy. The council’s mission is to promote the highest standards in the operation of Alabama’s jails, safeguard the rights and well-being of inmates, and ensure the safety of jail staff and the public. AJAC is dedicated to professional development, collaboration, and improving the overall quality of corrections facilities statewide.

Commenting on her appointment, Sierra said, “I am deeply honored to serve on the AJAC executive board.
