According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, this week, Sheriff’s Office investigators and the Cherokee County Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on County Road 142. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics. After the execution of the search warrant, Sheila Antoienette Bevels (57 y/o of Fort Payne) was arrested for 2 counts of Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bevels was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
Sheriff’s Office investigators also had a separate narcotics investigation that led them to Dekalb County. Cherokee and Dekalb investigators executed a search warrant at an address on Highway 176 where numerous firearms and narcotics were seized. After the execution of the search warrant, Joshua Allen Meadows (43 y/o of Fort Payne) was arrested for Unlawful Distribution of a Controlled Substance. Meadows was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
