Cinnamon Brooke Barnes, 29 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she starved three dogs that had been placed with her care at a home on Antioch Road.
Reports said that Barnes did not provide food and water to the animals, who were found to suffer extreme emaciation to the point it disfigured their bodies.
One dog registered a 1 out of 9 on the BCS, and the other two placed a 2 out of 9 on the scale.
All of the animals ribs, spine and pelvic bones were easily visible.
Barnes is also accused of admitting that she had not made any attempts to seek medical attention for the animals.
Barnes is charged with three counts aggravated cruelty to animals.
